The next session of STEEP is tonight! November 4th at 7pm ET!

This clinician-led monthly program offers a safe space to acknowledge the emotions that we often think we “shouldn’t” feel or don’t want to feel.

This month we will be talking about sadness and, while this emotion may seem obvious, there are many ways it can present and impact our day-to-day life. Sit with others and explore the ways you may have felt sad while also experiencing the support and connection of those who “get it.”

Join us for our next (and final) Perkatory event of 2025—The Give and Take of Cancer—on November 13th at 7pm ET.

Perkatory: Brewing Tough Conversations to Help Each Other Face Cancer is our digital storytelling series where members of the AYA (adolescent and young adult) cancer community come together to share, listen, and connect over the real and often complicated experiences of life with and after cancer.

For our November Perkatory, four incredible authors will share their stories exploring what cancer gives, what it takes, and how we find meaning in between.

Our nonprofit spotlight for this event is The Cassie Hines Shoes Cancer Foundation

Don’t miss this chance to join the conversation and be part of the Herd.

We are looking for submissions for our first magazine theme of 2026: "Dear Body"

A fresh take on our "Dear Cancer" theme, what would you say to your body after all that it has gone through?

-Write a letter to your body, or parts of your body. Reflect on apology, gratitude, or even anger. What has your body endured?
-How has your relationship with your body changed since your diagnosis? Explore shifts in perception, trust, love, or resentment.
-What do you wish your body could hear and understand about your experience? Imagine your body is listening. What do you want or need it to know?
-Describe a scar, port, or other mark as a symbol. What does it represent? Invite meaning-making through creative interpretation of visible changes in your body.
-Flip the perspective. If your body could write back to you, what would it say? What might your body express in response to all you have been through?
-For the Caregivers: Write a letter addressed to your loved one’s body or your own body, acknowledging its endurance, struggles, and resilience throughout the cancer experience. What would you thank it for, apologize for, or hope for in the days ahead?

In order to be considered for the March 2026 magazine, submissions are due Friday, November 21st.
