You know that moment when a room feels like too much?
ππ§Ί You've picked up a shirt from the floor but your brain hollers "laundry!!", and just glancing at that empty cup on the table leaves you wincing at the idea of all the dishes to follow... Suddenly, a full minute has passed and you're STILL frozen in place ready to quit before you've even started!
π¬π Take a breath and listen: this is NOT the time for chores. It's time to relocate and recollect both our objects and ourselves.
KC Davis' "5 Things Method" keeps things simple even when your space feels anything but. She breaks clutter down into just five types:
π Trash
π½ Dishes (to the sink, then LEAVE!)
π Laundry (in a pile, a basket, or right to the machine)
π Items with a home
β Items without a home
This method works because itβs easy to remember, easy to spot your category, easy to stop and restart, and is ALWAYS moving you forward, leaving the chaos behind.
