This closet was overflowing with potential. Once we created structure, everything became calmer and easier to use. Now shoes are visible, purses are accessible, and getting dressed feels stress free instead of overwhelming. If your closet makes you sigh when you open it, you’re not alone and there is a better way.

Winter can be isolating for seniors, and small home adjustments can prevent major accidents. If you have an older loved one, take a few minutes to check in on them. A meaningful conversation can keep loneliness and isolation at bay. You can also check their space for these simple safety upgrades:

1️⃣ Make sure cords and cables are tucked away
2️⃣ Secure or remove rugs that could cause tripping
3️⃣ Confirm stable handrails on stairs and in bathrooms
4️⃣ Add a shower chair for stability and comfort
5️⃣ Use nightlights to prevent falls at night

A quick visit or call can make all the difference. Let’s keep our seniors safe, supported, and connected this winter.

I’m so excited to share that Voyage Ohio featured my story and the journey of how Declutter with Devon grew from a quiet dream in 2022 to a full-time business and now a wonderful team helping clients all over the Cleveland area.

What started with minimalism, tiny homes, and Marie Kondo eventually became thousands of items decluttered in my own home, and now hundreds of hours supporting others in theirs. I’m still learning, still growing, and so grateful to everyone who has trusted us in their spaces.
