We are almost to the season of giving, so that means it is time to open up applications for our Christmas Assistance program. 🎄

Do you live in Hendricks County with children under the age of eighteen? If you are in need of some extra love this year, then we are here for you! We help provide toys, clothes, and food for each child in the family.

We have paper applications available throughout the county, as well as applications on our website. Applications need to be submitted and postmarked by Friday, November 14th to be considered.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month and if you know someone that is missing out on all the benefits of a library card, give em' a nudge! This month every person that picks up a card can spin our prize wheel for the chance at some library merch. We'll also have selfie stations popping up around the library - pics or it didn't happen!

The Plainfield Chamber’s Quaker Day Parade is THIS SATURDAY!

Our amazing police officers are already hard at work long before the parade begins, managing closures, detours, and keeping everyone safe. Thanks to our NECESSITIES SPONSORS we’re able to serve them a well-deserved breakfast as a thank-you!

And while officers are fueled up, parade participants are staging for hours before step-off… which means porta-johns & wash stations, not glamorous, but absolutely essential 😉.
