"The tragic and senseless murders of four people in a New York City office building underscores the horribly misguided gun control mindset, which disarms good people and doesn’t stop bad ones, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) stated.

That the crime occurred in the middle of Manhattan’s business district—where local and state law makes it virtually impossible to legally carry a defensive firearm—is even more proof that New York’s policies are literally “dead wrong,” noted CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb.

“The murderer drove clear across the country from his home in Nevada to commit a horrible crime that New York anti-gunners said their laws would prevent,” Gottlieb observed. “In the process, he violated laws in New York which were supposed to prevent this sort of outrage, and likewise when he drove through neighboring New Jersey. Did their existing gun laws stop him? They didn’t even slow him down.”

“The case highlights ongoing concerns regarding the timely processing of concealed carry permit applications in Los Angeles County, a process that Second Amendment advocates argue has effectively denied residents their constitutional right to bear arms.

SAF has the standing to sue on behalf of all its members, not just those individually identified in the complaint. This means that as the case progresses to a final judgment, any favorable outcome for SAF will apply to its entire membership facing similar delays.”

“ Ed Monk has been touring the United States. Ed usually talks at churches and schools, and sometimes at police departments. He talks about mass murderers and how to stop them. After a decade of study, Ed put some of his notes into a book. The book was published a few weeks ago and is called “First 30 Seconds.” He brings up many good points. Here is one of many that stuck with me.

We want zero people injured. Then they refuse to plan for zero. We could make it so zero people were injured. We have that ability. We’ve turned the church into a prison, but we can stop mass murder. Why did we say one thing and do another?” Rob Morse

"Today, a coalition of six leading gun rights organizations comprised of the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF), American Suppressor Association (ASA), National Rifle Association (NRA), Safari Club International (SCI), Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs (ANJRPC) and the New Jersey Fi****ms Owners Syndicate (NJFOS) announced the filing of a joint federal lawsuit in the District of New Jersey challenging the state of New Jersey’s unconstitutional ban on firearm suppressors.

Also known as silencers, suppressors are hearing safety devices that reduce the noise of a gunshot by an average of 20 to 35 decibels. That is why the Centers for Disease Control, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, the National Hearing Conservation Association, the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgeons, and Doctors for Responsible Gun Ownership all recommend the use of suppressors as a tool to mitigate preventable hearing damage. Suppressors are “arms” under the Second Amendment and enjoy the same constitutional protection as the fi****ms they are attached to. The government cannot categorically ban them without first proving a historical tradition of such bans – a burden it cannot meet." Second Amendment Foundation
