Last Thursday, Azle Band hosted their Winter Concert. Each band (Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble) performed 3 songs. They also hosted a raffle with the winner being able to conduct the last piece of the night, Wind Ensemble’s Sleigh Ride.

On 12/9, Azle Choir hosted its Winter Concert from 6:30 to 7:15 for friends and family. All choirs performed including: varsity and non-varsity treble and men’s choir, chorale, and chamber choir. They sang a variety of songs, including a unique version of Fa-la-la, sung by chorale, that had them mimicking a western rodeo, dueling with light sabers, and pirouetting in colorful tutus.

On December 5th, last Friday, AHS Improv Trope held a sold-out show (some students had to sit on the floor) of their Holiday Improv show. They held a variety of sketches, including one where they had to mime out the Grinch burning down Santa’s workshop.

Wednesday morning, Azle High School’s CTE department hosted a Community & Career Connection breakfast to both show what CTE has been up to this year and thank local community members. A variety of both current and graduated students spoke about their experiences within CTE. Breakfast was provided by culinary students. After breakfast was served, community members got a tour of the CTE classes and an update to what they have learned and accomplished.

Yesterday, Azle High School’s National Honor Society (NHS) held its induction ceremony welcoming its new members. It was held at 6:00 PM in the auditorium. In front of friends, family, and current NHS members, inductees were introduced by NHS officers, walked across the stage, blew out their candles, signed the NHS pledge, and shook hands with NHS advisor Amy Estes and Principal Nate Driver. Afterward, a reception, including cake, was offered right outside the auditorium.
