We had a lot of fun interviewing Anisa Ashabi, a Kitsap-based novelist and screenwriter, for our winter issue Q&A. Since then, her star keeps rising. Leadership Kitsap is bestowing her a 20 Under 40 award next week, along with other dynamic young trailblazers in the Kitsap community. She and her filmmaking team have also released a trailer for a TV pilot based on her young adult novel, Finding Chaz. It was filmed on location at Woodward Middle School on Bainbridge Island.
