November is nationally recognized as Homeless Youth Awareness Month. In November we raise awareness for youth who are struggling with housing instability and call to action our community and partners to support those youth.

It's that time again! The unsheltered Point in Time (PIT) Count will be held on Jan. 28th, 2026! The Count will take place from 3:30AM - 9:00AM.

Kern County needs approximately 500 volunteers to count all the unsheltered individuals experiencing homelessness.
If you are interested in volunteering, please register at: https://bkrhc.org/volunteer-for-the-2026-pit-count/

💜 Homeless Youth Awareness Month - Youth Connect Event is TOMORROW!! 💜

🫶 If you're a service provider or educator that works with youth ages 14-24 experiencing unstable housing, please make sure they attend tomorrow's event! 🫶

There will be over 30 organizations in attendance offering services to youth.

🟪 Youth in attendance will also receive backpacks full of essential items, get haircuts, clothing and food, and may win prizes!

Location: 2020 G St. Bakersfield (behind the Fox Theatre)
Time: 10AM-2PM (youth can drop in)
