Whenever I had a free day and wanted to take my little one to do something new I would search the internet and never found a particular calendar that was focused on family and child events. I didn't just wan

t the big events. Everyone can find the information for Disney on Ice! I wanted the little tucked away activities that didn't pay big marketing bucks to find me. Usually I didn't find out about the little gems such as story time in a local book store until the date had passed. Free ice cream day and my favorite shop, free studio fee at the adorable ceramics place, a children's play at a local library, I was missing it all! More importantly my son was missing it all. Macaroni Kid is a local free weekly newsletter featuring all of the kid friendly events you are looking for. Also be sure to check out the Biz Directory for local resources. But I can't do it alone. It takes all of us to bring forth the wonderful things happening in our town. If you know of something that is coming up please enter it on the site or send me an email about it. I would love to share it with others. The more we know about what is happening in our community the more involved our children can be. It can be anything, even a little school play that could use a few more smiling faces in the audience.
