13 years since our first date warranted a nice dinner out together, squeezed between work and Rotary meetings. Always delicious at Daniella’s! Our first date was a series of pivots after the Doubledays had a typo on their magnet calendar about the time of the game, and cloud cover prevented us from seeing any of the meteor shower. It was movies and a drive instead! We’ve never been apart since 🥰 I love our story and many memories still to be made babe. Happy date-versary honey! Love you more! Daniella's Steakhouse

An awesome Sunday! Makes it hard to say goodbye to the weekend. Hope everyone has a great week ahead 😎

Let’s break the algorithm wall and talk about it to try to change it up! Here’s what I’m enjoying in my feed lately:
🍼 Baby chiropractor Dr Roller
💕 Reuniting people who were adopted with their bio families
👰🏼 Funny wedding ideas including a hilarious best man song
🐾 Kitty litter ads with cute kitties

ETA: I almost forgot the best of them all - a crossing guard who whacks motorcyclists and moped riders with a whiffle bat if they stop in the crosswalk! It’s hysterical! 🤣

What’s good in your feed?

Last year’s Syracuse walk was beautiful. Hope to see you there!

CNY Rotarians are lacing up their walking shoes this fall in support of the Alzheimer's Association's Walk to End Alzheimer's, joining together to support families impacted by the disease. The initiative aligns with CNY Rotary President Pamela Baker Gratton's 2026-27 Rotary theme, Brain and Mental Health, encouraging Rotary clubs throughout the district to participate in one of several Walk to End Alzheimer's events taking place across Central New York this fall.

Through the Alzheimer's Association's national partnership with the Alzheimer's/Dementia Rotary Action Group (ADRAG), Rotary clubs across the country are working together to support Alzheimer's research, advocacy and care.

"Brain and mental health affect every family and every community, making this an issue that touches all of us," Pamela explained. "By participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's, Rotarians have an opportunity to live our motto of 'Service Above Self' while standing beside those impacted by this disease. I encourage every club in our district to join us as we walk together, raise awareness, and help bring hope to families across Central New York."

Rotary clubs are invited to register as National Partnership Teams using the team naming format "CNY Rotary – (Club Name)" and participate in the walk location most convenient for their members.

Scheduled walks include:

September 26: Binghamton (Mirabito Stadium)
October 3: Schenectady (Mohawk Harbor)
October 4: Cooperstown (Clark Sports Center)
October 17: Utica/Rome (MVCC Utica Campus)
October 17: Queensbury (SUNY Adirondack)
October 18: Troy (Joseph Bruno Stadium)
October 24: Albany (Siena University)
October 24: Ithaca/Cortland (Ithaca College)
November 8: Syracuse (SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College)

By participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's, Central New York Rotarians are helping raise critical funds while bringing greater awareness to a disease that touches countless lives.

Rotary clubs interested in participating can register their teams through the Alzheimer's Association/ADRAG National Partnership Teams portal: https://act.alz.org/site/TR?company_id=187133&pg=national_company&pw_id=15048

What do you mean I need ear drops Mom? Took Mouse to the vet for some itchy ears and she needs a little treatment. Just a few drops a day and some extra cuddles! 🥰

Some more pics from my visit to One Rotary Center for the MDP Alliance last week. Had our team debrief today and so many good ideas poured out from everyone who attended. If you have never been to RI headquarters, it’s worth a trip. If you ever get a chance to volunteer on our PELS committee, it’s a rewarding experience. Reach out to me if you are interested in helping future leaders, strengthen volunteerism, and make an impact that ripples through 160 Rotary Clubs!
