Baldwyn's Sunday Alcohol Sales ordinance update HAS NOT gone into effect yet. The ordinance is likely to be approved and published in time to go into effect after the first of September, but the current board has not had time to review the proposed ordinance changes yet. City Attorney Greg Beard is working on this for the board and it will be coming soon, but any businesses selling alcohol on Sundays in Baldwyn at the moment could wind up getting in trouble for doing so – and ignorance is no defense in court or with the city when it comes to licensing. If you're not sure about something, CALL CITY HALL! 662-365-2383.
