From Baldwyn Fire Chief Sam Parker: Lee County, Miss., will be going under a 30-day burn ban effective Friday, Sept. 19. The only outdoor burning allowed will be by the Mississippi Forestry Commission, certified burn managers, and commercial contractors with heavy construction equipment who met Mississippi DEQ regulations regarding open burning of brush piles.
