Please keep all of our breast cancer survivors and those have passed in your prayers and thoughts.

I lost a sister to breast cancer. She didn't get regular screenings, and the cancer was debilitating.

If your family has a history of breast cancer, please encourage them to get regular scans.

This week there are two articles on breast cancer.

One is from a mother and daughter who both had breast cancer and had bilateral mastectomies, and an article on the monetary cost of cancer treatment. The daughter was 31 when she got cancer. She had regular screenings because of her mother's breast cancer, so it was caught early.

The articles will be posted online here on Wednesday and will be in the newspaper on Saturday.

These three precious pups were dumped outside of Ballinger. Thankfully someone had a big heart and stopped and picked them up. A bit shy and skinny, but already filling out after several days of food. They are scheduled to get spayed/neutered next month and then will be available for adoption. Please help if you can. We appreciate any donations!
