My Eureka Variegated Pink Lemon tree is putting on quite a show this year. Seeing more fruit develop has been so rewarding after all the care it gets through the seasons.

The new citrus planter has been a game changer. My citrus trees seem much happier, and I’m convinced the extra space and consistent moisture are making a difference.

The GreenStalk planters are filling in beautifully. Even better, the tomatoes I started indoors in my Click & Grow Smart Garden are already flowering and settling into their new home outdoors.

The Asiatic lilies have been stealing the spotlight on my deck. Their blooms have been absolutely stunning, although I know the upcoming rain will probably bring their show to an end soon.

My chives are definitely due for a haircut. One of the easiest herbs to grow, and somehow they always seem to outgrow the space I give them.

One of my favorite views is looking out at the backyard garden from the deck. It’s not completely filled in yet, but the foundation is there and the space is ready for summer growth. I’m grateful I’ve gotten most of the planting done, though I still have a few seedlings waiting for me to decide where they belong. 😁

Sometimes I come out here with a long to-do list…

No harvesting.
No planting.
No projects.

Just taking in the little things, appreciating the progress, and enjoying what God has grown.

Come take a little walk with me around the deck garden. 🌿💚

Lately, I’ve been enjoying seeing my citrus trees happy again. The variegated pink lemon is fruiting, the vertical planters are filling up with tomatoes, chives, amaranth, and strawberries, and the Asiatic lilies are putting on such a beautiful show.

Even the compost tumbler is almost full—a reminder of how much life and growth this little space has seen.

Most days, this is the view I get from my kitchen.

And honestly? It gives me such a boost of serotonin every time I look outside.

It’s one of my favorite parts of gardening. Not just the harvests or the projects, but simply being able to enjoy the beauty of what has grown over time.

Sometimes I just walk around, take it all in, and feel grateful.

I’m really loving the porch these days. 😍🌿

Adding the Vego Garden potting bench, sink station, and workstation cabinet has made everything feel so much more organized and functional.

I still have a few things to declutter and get rid of, but it’s amazing how much of a difference having designated spaces can make.

Now it feels like a little garden retreat where I can work, organize, and just sit and enjoy the view. 💚

Small-space gardening is all about making the most of what you have, and I’m so happy with how this space is coming together. 😁

Anyone else find that organizing one area somehow makes you want to organize everything else? 😂

Who knew my unused trellis pieces would become a garlic drying rack? 😂🧄

After harvesting my garlic, I needed a place to hang them to cure.

The ​⁠ FlexGrow A-Frame Trellis ProMax was actually too tall for me (petite gardener problems 😅), so I left out one layer when I assembled it.

Turns out, the unused pieces became the perfect tool to hang my garlic in the shed using flexible ties.

Small space gardening has a way of turning every challenge into a puzzle.

And honestly, finding creative solutions like this is one of my favorite parts of gardening.

Necessity really is the mother of invention. 💚

Bigger isn’t always better when it comes to garlic. 🧄

One of the biggest mistakes I made last year was waiting too long to harvest.

I know it’s tempting to leave them in the ground a little longer, hoping they’ll get bigger. But I learned the hard way that waiting too long can actually do more harm than good.

As the leaves die back, the protective wrappers around the bulbs start breaking down too, which can lead to split bulbs that don’t store as well.

That’s why I don’t wait until all the leaves are brown. I harvest when about one-third of the leaves have dried while several green leaves are still left on top.

With garlic, it’s not about squeezing out every last bit of size.

It’s about harvesting at the right time so you can enjoy beautiful bulbs that store for months.

Sometimes gardening isn’t about waiting longer… it’s about knowing when it’s time. 🌿
