I wasn't expecting to walk into the Walters Art Museum and find this. Douriean Fletcher's jewelry collection — the same designs from Black Panther — on full display in Baltimore. Free. Right now.

Over 100 works spanning her entire career, and it's only here through August 9. And they're closing it out with a Baltimore Fashion Week mixer on August 9th. So if you're going, go in style. 🖤

If you're in Baltimore and you keep saying "not yet" — this is your sign. Go. ✨

I'm a confusing human being, I know. 🫣

My motto? FIBI.

✋🏽 overthinking the trip.
✋🏽 waiting for the perfect time.
✋🏽 waiting for everyone else to be ready.

Save the money. Request the PTO. Book the flight. Make the memory.

Because another year of 'one day' is not a plan.

Come join me over here if you're trying to travel more, protect your peace, and stop talking yourself out of the life you keep dreaming about.

She really said "sorry it's late" like they didn't just make me cry on a random Wednesday 🥹 I love them.

I had to apologize to my daughter today.

Not because I was wrong about the situation… but because I was wrong in how I handled it.

She hasn’t been staying on top of her schoolwork, but still thought she was going to be able to hang with her friends. And as her mom, I had to remind her that responsibilities come before privileges.

But the truth is, I was already emotional.

I had seen a picture of my daughter who passed, and it hit me harder than I expected. I was already carrying grief, frustration, and sadness… and instead of separating that from the conversation, I let it spill over onto her.

And that’s the part I had to own.

Because yes, I was right to hold her accountable.
But I was wrong for letting my pain come out in my delivery.

So I apologized.

Not to take away the consequence.
Not to let her off the hook.
But to show her that accountability goes both ways.

As parents, we can be right about the lesson and still be wrong about the way we teach it. And our children deserve to see us take accountability too.

Both things can be true.
