The process for this record technically started in our hotel room in ATX after we performed and presented at SXSW SXSW EDU but really it began years earlier for me.

I admire both of these dudes a great deal as they’re both humble legends musically and innovators in the space. Rawls had his hands on a few of my favorite records and whenever I listened to Words when I was growing up, his skill reminded me I had a long way to go as an emcee, still do✌️
