Where are my Peri/MenoPAUSE sisters at??? Come here real quick....

Y'all liiiiisten! I swore I was done with this BS after the disrepectful bladder sabotage last week....but here we are 🥴.

Me: I’m a grown-azz woman now: mature, responsible, and keeping my s**t together. I'm really about that peaceful, centered life! Focused on my Zen you hear me!!!!!

THEN BAM! Peri decided to turn my entire body into a faulty toaster oven.

I will be sitting here looking like a whole boss baby.... sipping my Titos, talkin my s**t when my internal thermostat hits "Maximum Rage."🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I literally just had to excuse myself from a pleasant catch up convo with a old friend to go stand in the freezer aisle at Giant, whispering "This is fucqin ridiculous" into a bag of frozen peas.🥴

I'm trying to be calm, collected, and grown, but the heat makes me want to start arguments and throw hands and shoes. The peace I’ve worked so hard for is dissolving into a pool of sweat.

If you see me looking maniacal and fanning myself with something unusual cause its the first thing I could grab, just know that the reformed sinner is fighting for her composure!

I know seasonal depression comes like a thief in the night, our thoughts start to snowball and emotions run wild but remember you are not alone. We have to remember that we are still blessed in the midst of it all.

Being blessed doesnt always mean you're up. Sometimes it can mean you're down but you're not out. Sometimes it means without but still covered. All of it means you're still here, still breathing, have the ability to read this, have shelter (even if temporary or semi permanent), you have food (even its through the shelter) and just the mere fact that you have the bare minimum is A LOT to be thankful for🙌🏾 Being blessed means you have the ability to keep going, be a blessing to others and give God thanks and act as his reflection here on earth so never take that for granted.....

Continuously praying for and with you all. Be blessed. 🙏🏾❤️

🚨Real Talk and probably unpopular opinion: Stop taking things that are meant for those less fortunate when you can afford to purchase those said items on your own!!!

Every year, especially around the holidays I see post for free food and assistance. I see food box giveaways, free turkeys and even Aldi has a $40 box that feeds a family of 10. Let me say this.....👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO GET GROCERIES WITHOUT ASSISTANCE LEAVE THESE FOR THOSE WHO CANT!!!!

Considering that SNAP is ceasing tomorrow and top of the year health insurance will skyrocket for those on assistance, we really need to be intentionally mindful of OTHERS and not just ourselves. Think of your elders that will have to decide between medications, food or both. Kids who will be struggling to find dinner after free lunch in school and just struggling families who dont have the same resources as you do.

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Now is not the time to "save money" at the expense of others. Thats GREED. There are people really struggling while you eat your weekly crabs, mimosa it up at brunch and get lit at day parties. Now is the time to check on your older family members, your neighbors who may be on a limited income and those going through it. This s**t is REAL!

Now is the time to try to be assigned humane as possible and try to rebuild what village looks like. You may not have it to give in order to stay aflot yourself but you dont have to take when others are sinking.

They counted me out.

A 16-year-old teen mom who didn't go to college. No degrees. Stuck in a 9-to-5 government job. For a minute, I felt unseen and unheard. But I knew in my soul that my story wasn't over. It was just getting started.

So when a journalist from the Afro-American Newspapers heard me speak and was intrigued by my journey, all I could think was: **Look at me now.** This is for all of us they counted out!

Most of y'all know I'm the owner of **Regally Insane**, my all-natural, chemical-free hair and body wellness brand. I created it specifically for Black women experiencing changes due to aging, because we deserve solutions without the chemicals. But that's not all. I also co-founded a non-profit for Black women entrepreneurs, am a business coach, and have run a travel agency for over a decade.

If you can dream it, you can be it. Never let your past define your future. This is living proof. 💪🏾

Thank you for your mercies being new every single morning! Thank you for keeping me and mine through the night! God I thank you because your grace is sufficient for me!!! God, I can look all through my life and I see you there through it all! Thank you for covering my home, my family and my friends! God I thank you for traveling mercies and just being a lover and keeper of my soul! I WILL BLESS THE LORD OHHH MY SOUL AND ALL THAT IS WITHIN ME BLESS HIS HOLY NAME!!!
