Although April is recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the conversation around sexual violence cannot be limited to just one month. This is a reality many of us survivors live with every single day. As a survivor, I believe our stories deserve to be told not just for awareness, but for healing, understanding, and real change.
Resources deserve to be amplified. Education must be shared & survivors deserve to be seen, heard, and believed.
Part of raising awareness is also understanding the importance of consent. Consent is not a suggestion but it’s a requirement!
I will continue standing in the gap with other survivors listening, sharing, and creating safe space for truth and healing.
Together, our voices can break the silence and bring light to the darkness!
