I’m excited to announce that I’ll be participating in the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists’ 2026 Emerging Media Diversity Convention! 🎤

I’ll be joining an incredible group of speakers for “How Media Can Survive This Economy and Beyond” on Saturday, October 3 at 12 p.m.

As the Creator of The Money Plug and Founder of Common Cents, I’ll be sharing my perspective on media entrepreneurship, storytelling, sustainability, and building work that genuinely serves the community.

This is an important conversation for anyone interested in journalism, content creation, media, entrepreneurship, and the future of our industry.

Guess what I did today, Baltimore???

I know I’m God’s favorite because I got to meet one of my hometown she-ro’s this morning, Councilwoman Councilwoman Phylicia Porter!

She’s the Baltimore City Councilwoman for District 10 & the best person I know to have the conversation around how local government plays a role in how our money moves (or doesn’t) here in the city.

When I say that the community needs to release itself from “white savior syndrome,” most of the time I’m talking about him.

It’s WAAAY too many of us out here doing this work with US in mind for you to still be thinking he has all the answers. What he has is knowledge that existed before his platform did, white privilege, a TON of audacity, & the “Christian” stamp of approval.

I love every chance I get to talk about credit, but it was even more special being able to support a friend & colleague that’s being the change we want to see in these financial literacy streets. 💚

I had the time of my lil baldhead life last night at the vinyl listening session for The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. 😂😂😂

The food at was delicious (& my server Kai was amazing! I hope he knows that because it was so busy last night and he never dropped his smile or the quality of the service). & the DJs (who spin ACTUAL vinyls, 🤏🏾🤏🏾 get into it) were on point during the cocktail hour & the listening session.

Unpacking the album in a room full of US ✊🏾, singing, laughing, dancing, & just being in community with beautiful people & great music was a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend following them and turning your post notifications on so you don’t miss the August event.

The amount of disgustingly racist, misogynistic, and even homophobic (which is crazy because I’m straight 😂) comments on my reel about the bonnets shows me two things:

1) y’all scary af posting these things from fake pages because you wouldn’t dare say it with your chest
