Southeast District Handgun
Violation Arrest

On March 21, 2024, officers working out of the Southeast District observed a vehicle operating without lights traveling at a high rate of speed, in the area of East Preston Street at North Milton Street.
While in the 800 block of North Milton Street, officers attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, that continued to flee.

Officers requested Foxtrot’s assistance, who located the vehicle at a dead end, in the 900 block of North Chapel Street, where the vehicle struck a curb, rendering the vehicle inoperable.

Both the driver and the passenger attempted to flee on foot but were apprehended a short time later with the assistance of SWAT, DAT, GU, and E&T officers.
Officers arrested a 21-year-old male and a 35-year-old male, seizing the pictured items.

Both suspects are prohibited from owning fi****ms.
The suspects were transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where they have been charged accordingly including multiple counts of handgun violations

BALTIMORE - Baltimore City Council approved a measure that would allow some vacant properties in Baltimore City to be sold for just $1. The vote was held during Wednesday’s Board of Estimate’s meeting after being delayed due to disagreement across the city council.

Mayor Brandon Scott, who advocates for the proposal, says the buyers must have at least $90,000 for the rehab of buildings. However, some worry there needed to be more safeguards. The program comes with the promise of the new owner to renovate, move in within a year and stay there for five years.
As of now, there are more than 13,000 vacant homes in Baltimore, and nearly 900 are city-owned.

“This is an important expansion of our efforts to get vacant properties out of their vacant status and into the hands of the people who want to rehab them and live in them,” Scott said.

Makiah went missing from the northwest area of Baltimore on June 14, 2023, and has not been seen or heard from since. She is an honor roll student approaching her senior year in high school.
Makiah's family strongly believes she may stay in the area and be in the company of an adult male.

Homicide Suspect Arrested
On November 29, 2022, at approximately 4:20 p.m., 34-
year-old Theodore Barksdale was found shot in an alley off
the 100 block of North Kossuth Street.
Medics responded and transported Barksdale to Shock
Trauma where despite doctors' efforts, he died a short
time later.
Homicide detectives assumed control of the investigation.
Detectives reviewed video footage and interviewed several
perspective witnesses.
Ultimately, detectives were able to identify a suspect and
obtain an arrest warrant.
On December 9, 2022, at approximately 9:10 a.m.,
members of the Warrant Task Force arrested 18-year-old
Dominique Edmonds at an apartment in the 2000 block of
Ramblewood Road, in the Northeast District.
Recovered from the apartment was a "Ghost Gun" and
suspect narcotics, all of which were submitted as
evidence.
Edmonds was transported to the Homicide Section where
he was interviewed, and then Central Booking where he
was charged with 1st Degree Murder, handgun and various
narcotics violations.
Currently Dominique Edmonds is being held at Central
Booking without bail.

In five different gunshots on Monday, one man died and five others were hurt, according to Baltimore Police. Police reported that a man was shot and killed on Monday afternoon in Northwest Baltimore’s Lucille Park.

At at 1:30 pm, police arrived at the 3600 block of Woodland Avenue and discovered a male suffering from a gunshot wound. At the site, doctors pronounced him dead.

According to police, a 28-year-old was shot and hurt about an hour earlier at Liberty Square in Northwest Baltimore.

At 12:25 p.m., police were called to the 2300 block of Tioga Parkway, where they discovered the male with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital by medics for treatment.

An incident involving gunfire occurred in West Baltimore on Monday afternoon, according to the police.

Before 4:20 p.m., police arrived at the hospital where the victim had come in to receive treatment for a gunshot wound close to his left armpit. He claimed to have been shot at around 4 p.m. at the intersection of McCulloh Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard, which separates Upton from Madison Park.

According to authorities, a gunshot that happened in Bolton Hill early on Monday morning badly injured another individual.

According to a news release, police discovered a 32-year-old man with “apparently life-threatening gunshot wounds” in the 800 block of North Belnord Avenue. He was rushed to a hospital, where, according to the police, he is currently in critical condition.

Police reported that two men were hurt in a shooting that happened Monday night in Belair-Edison in East Baltimore.

Police were called to a Shot Spotter alert near Belair Road and Mayfield Avenue at around 7:10 o’clock. Around the same time, two wounded patients—a 32-year-old who had been shot in the buttocks and a 28-year-old who had been shot in the right foot—walked into a hospital.

During a juvenile transfer hearing, Judge Charles Dorsey heard evidence that suggested a teenage defendant accused of first-degree murder in connection to Timothy Reynolds’ death may be affiliated with the Crips, according to multiple sources who were in the hearing.

Judge Dorsey ruled on Nov. 17 that 15-year-old Tavon Scott will be tried as an adult after defense attorneys attempted to make the claim that the defendant should be transferred to the juvenile justice system due to his age. Reynolds died after he was shot on July 7, 2022, at the intersection of Light and Conway Streets. Court documents indicate Reynolds was pronounced dead at Shock Trauma just after 5 p.m. on July 7, 2022.

The juvenile transfer hearing was closed to the public and media; multiple sheriff’s deputies stood outside the doors to the hearing – which was held inside the Juvenile Justice Center – and did not let anyone who wasn’t on a pre-approved list inside.

Inside the courtroom, multiple sources said the defendant was identified as a likely member of the Crips, utilizing photos showing the suspect using known-gang signs, Crips-specific coloring in some photos, and another photo showing the gun itself and black and blue backpack police said the gun was found in with a blue bandana.

BALTIMORE —
Two people died Sunday afternoon in a crash in northwest Baltimore, police said.
City police said officers were called to a single-vehicle crash in the 1900 block of West Northern Parkway. Police said a car was traveling west on Northern Parkway when the driver lost control, crashed into the median strip and the car flipped over several times.
Two passengers -- a 23-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man -- died at the scene.
