Boo Bee Books Our Story- BooBee Books is the creative thoughts, words and pictures of Da’Vel Kent –Bey and Johnnett Kent. Da’Vel Kent –Bey is a youth activist.

This brother and sister team came up with the idea to create children’s books that are dedicated to addressing the emotional stresses, social issues and social morms that school aged children are confronted. Johnnett Kent a former educator, saw first hand how children are trying to find answers to questions about themselves and how they fit in to this world. When these questions go un answered ,

destructive behavior/ habits can erupt. This can lend it self to deferred emotional and social development for a child. He has been molding and shaping the minds of young men with his non profit organization “Micology” for well over 10 years. Micology is a series free form poetry/ hip hop workshops that gives young men the permission to express them selves freely. Both Da’Vel and Johnnett decided to creating a literature for children with a purpose. Mission – It is the goal of BooBeeBooks to empower schooled aged children to “BE” proud of who the are, "as" the are! We use ART to ignite the creative power in every child.
