For the past 18 months a lot of our work has been on or near the water and a lot of ships have been involved. For 2023 you will find us filming in and around the collection of aircraft at the Hagerstown Aviation Museum as they get ready to open the Dome Hanger to the public. Watch for more shots like this one and info on these vintage planes.
This was one of our interview setups at Roots Rock Revival. We tested a Jackery 1500 watt solar powered setup, to power our LED lights and camera battery charger. The solar panel provided the juice...and we always had plenty of electricity for our needs. Some really in-depth and interesting interviews came out of these sessions. More on that later.

Always loved this film
More than 30 years after its debut, 1990s Dances with Wolves is still one of the best Westerns of all time, holding the record of the highest-grossing Western to date. The film, directed and starring Kevin Costner, is based on the 1988 book of the same name by screenwriter Michael Blake and went on t...
We are planning to be at Peach to shoot for our documentary "Fishin' with Duane" and help get video to promote Roots Rock Revival 2022.
We used to play a lot of Loggins & Messina tunes in the day. You don't hear bands covering this music and there's some damn fine material.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFM-VaUO_CE
Well I really hope he didn't regret the time he spent with us.
Do NOT make me regret it.
Here's a literal "blast from the past". Our "Great battles of the Civil War" film crew working for Producer/Director Jay Wertz. Ed Snapp on stills, Mike Sokol on audio, Rick Hemphill,Jay & Andy Wertz and me on 16 mm. This was the 125th Gettysburg. The largest re-enactment we shot together in 16 mm. We were skinny then...with no grey hair.
I will very proudly be documenting this Memorial Service for ABT. Ed was the on field guide for Jay Wertz in his "Great Battles of the Civil War" series. I was one of Jay's cinematographers.

The A 10 has to be the most technically sophisticated “item” ever mass produced in Hagerstown. Probably also the most expensive item and most effective at it’s intended mission of killing enemy tanks and providing close support to Ground troops. Visit the Hagerstown Aviation Museum to learn more
The latest sets of new wings for the A-10 Thunderbolt II fleet arrived earlier this month to Hill AFB in Ogden, Utah, where the US Air Force has started aircraft integration.
Dan was a favorite from the beginning. I used his first track off of this album for the opening music to "Fracking Western Maryland?"
Dan's home state of Illinois will play host to several events and exhibits celebrating the 50th anniversary of the release of Dan's first album, Home Free, during the coming few months! First up is a newly-unveiled museum exhibit honoring Dan's time at the University of Illinois, and his first recorded work as a solo artist. The display can be seen during regular business hours at the Richmond Family Welcome Gallery located inside the Alice Campbell Alumni Center at 601 S. Lincoln Avenue in Urbana, Illinois. Many thanks to the University of Illinois Alumni Association, as well as curator, Ryan Ross, for this distinct honor. Fans are encouraged to stop in and enjoy this interactive display, running now through early 2024. https://uiaa.org/richmond-family-welcome-gallery/

I'm sharing this here for 2 reasons. #1 is I like her work and #2 this concept may be useful to other "creatives" to help sustain their work.

I'm going to apply for this. I'm probably too old for these guys, but this would be an incredibly cool job. Anyone else who is interested go for it.

I feel like I've gotten to know Cap Rukert much better through producing these video stories this year. He had a reputation for being tough like Helen...but he was a visionary who acted on what he knew and believed...and he passed along a 40 year old business to his family, that's now 100.

This has been one of my favorite edits to do in this series for Rukert because of my regard for both Helen & Cap. They were not "timid" people. They got things done. Their personal styles were different than mine...but I also saw the softer side of Helen personally in my inter actions with her...and I can see & hear Cap's also. They cared deeply...and are remembered.
