Writing From Place is less than a month away!
Whether you're a newer writer or poet looking to develop new strategies in giving your writing depth and texture BEFORE beginning the editing process, or an experienced author who's looking for a thoughtful way to kick off the rust and get back into your routine, Writing From Place might be the perfect workshop for you.
Presented by The Avenue and led by the inimitable Annie Rose Marhefka, Writing From Place will teach attendees how to make the neighborhood, street, room, shoreline, or sidewalk a living presence; a character who shapes what gets written and how you write it.
We don't love it when workshops make promises and then gate keep the access to those promises, or don't provide transparency around pricing or what you'll leave with, so here's some additional information:
The price of the workshop is $125.
This goes to renting the space, promoting the event, paying our talented facilitator, and subsidizing up to 2 partial-or-full-scholarships for this event (if you'd like to be considered for a partial-or-full-scholarship, please scan the QR code or go to the events tab on our website to make an inquiry).
Capacity for this event is hard capped at 12 (which includes the potential scholarship. attendees). When it sells out, registrations will be closed.
