A Baltimore-based feminist zine! Available at Red Emma's, Atomic Books, Sweet Candy Distro, and Do

Beast Grrl Collective is a youth-run feminist organization interested in promoting youth empowerment, feminist education, and art activism. We publish a zine, organize service projects, and host events around Baltimore City. Beast Grrl Collective was founded in the summer of 2014, when the first issue of Beast Grrl Zine was published. Since then we have created ten issues of Beast Grrl Zine, organ

ized zine-making workshops and other events around Baltimore City, and worked with groups like FORCE, Balti-Gurls, and Red Emma's Bookstore. We are funded by Youth as Resources and The Research Associate's Foundation. To stay updated with our current projects, check out our other social media accounts as well as our website!

Submissions are now open for Beast Grrl #15, Bridges! In this Zine, we are exploring the ideas of forgiveness, reconciliation, connection, and building bridges between people and groups. As a reminder, we accept all visual mediums that can be printed in a Zine, from visual art to photography to poetry and short stories. Beast Grrl needs a logo and we need your help!

Submit your best work for a chance to win a prize package including:

📚Our new zines, Roots and Resilience

🍬A pack of your favorite snacks or sweets, and

🏅A bonus gift! (fun socks, a mug, etc.)

When creating your design, think about Beast Grrl Collective’s mission, and what it may mean to you, if you’ve been a contributor. Feel free to look through our old zines for inspiration!

Make sure to take a good quality photo or scan if your design is not created digitally. All mediums of creation are welcome, but if you are selected, we may work with you to digitize the logo so we can maintain the artistic integrity for versatile use.

The deadline for submission is January 15th, 2021. There is a google form in our bio for you to fill out when you are ready to submit! DM us with any questions, or email us at [email protected]. Tag a friend who you think might be interested! We want to reach as many artists as possible.
