Our Dog Park is now open to the public! Please follow the rules on the signs, and clean up after your dogs. Doggie waste bags are located at the entrance of the trail from the parking lot. Enjoy!!

Also, please remember to keep your dogs off of the soccer and baseball fields! Thank you.

🚨 Save the Date! The 2025 Slate Belt Annual Litter Pickup is set for April 26th! 🚨

We’re gearing up for another year of community cleanup, and we need YOU to help make it happen! Slate Belt Rising is once again organizing this event, and we’re excited to welcome PA State Rep. Ann Flood again this year!

🗓 Date: Saturday, April 26, 2025
⏰ Time: Volunteers arrive between 9:15 – 9:30 AM, cleanup starts at 10:00 AM and runs until 1:00 PM (or whenever you're done!)
📍 Where? Multiple locations across the Slate Belt – sign up and choose your cleanup site!

We now have team leaders confirmed for Pen Argyl Borough, Bangor Borough, Portland, PA, Wind Gap Borough, Upper Mount Bethel Township, Washington, East Bangor, and Plainfield Township! But we’re still hoping to add Roseto and Lower Mount Bethel Township to reach all 10 Slate Belt municipalities. Let us know if you want to lead a team.

✅ All volunteers must complete a new volunteer form to participate. You can submit it ahead of time or fill one out on the day of the event.

🧤 Supplies provided: PennDOT is supplying safety vests, gloves, and garbage bags, but if you have your own gloves or vests, please bring them! We also have about 60 litter grabbers to distribute, but if you have one, bring it so more people can use them.
