Here's a look back at a few memorable moments from this day in country music history:

🎤 1959 – Country star Lorrie Morgan was born in Nashville, Tennessee. The daughter of Grand Ole Opry legend George Morgan, she went on to score more than 25 Billboard country hits, including No. 1 songs like "Five Minutes," "What Part of No," and "I Didn't Know My Own Strength."

🎸 1962 – Hank Snow recorded "I've Been Everywhere" at RCA Studio B in Nashville. The rapid-fire song listing dozens of towns became one of the most recognizable travel songs in country music history.

🏆 1992 – Billy Ray Cyrus was sitting at No. 1 on the country charts with "Achy Breaky Heart." The crossover smash became the first country single to earn platinum certification since "Islands in the Stream" and helped launch a nationwide line-dancing craze.

🎶 This Date in Country Music History – June 13 🎶

On this day in 1973, Dolly Parton stepped into RCA Studio B in Nashville to record "I Will Always Love You," a song she wrote as a heartfelt farewell to her mentor, Porter Wagoner. The song became one of country music's greatest classics and reached an even wider audience when Whitney Houston recorded it nearly 20 years later.

Also on this date in 1987, Randy Travis' iconic hit "Forever and Ever, Amen" began a three-week run at No. 1 on the Billboard country chart, helping define the neotraditional country movement.
