Heating a home in New England is expensive - and for many households, winter fuel costs add up fast.

What a lot of people don’t realize is that every New England state offers fuel assistance programs to help income-eligible households pay for heat during the winter months.

Fuel assistance can help with:

• Credits or payments applied directly to your heating account
• Emergency help if you’re at risk of running out of heat
• Support during the coldest part of the winter

If your household qualifies for fuel assistance, your Our Town Buyers Club membership is completely free, giving you access to discounted group fuel pricing at no cost.

We put together a clear, state-by-state guide for:
New Hampshire
Massachusetts
Vermont
Maine

Including where to apply and what to expect.

If your income fluctuates, your household size has changed, or you heat with oil or propane - apply anyway. Many households are surprised to learn they qualify.

Please join us in celebrating Donna as she begins her 20th season with us. We are so grateful she is part of the Our Town family!

We are so incredibly lucky to have Donna in our lives and in our office. Over the years, she has helped tens of thousands of people—not just by saving them money, but by making each person feel truly valued. Donna created our special list to ensure no one ever falls through the cracks, and each year she personally calls our elderly members to make sure they have the resources they need to stay safe and warm through the winter. If you have spoken to someone in our office, it was probably her! Definitely, if she started the sentence "How are you, dear?"
