- Barrington Library Foundation Meeting, Tuesday, September 1, 5-7pm, Barrington Public Library

- Planning Board Meeting, Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - 6:30pm, Barrington Town Hall.

- Supervisors of the Checklist Meeting
Event Date: Wednesday, September 2, 2026 - 10:00am to 11:00am. This session is for corrections of the checklist and the last day to accept voter registration applications before the State Primary.

- Capital Improvements Program Committee Meeting, Thursday, September 3, 2026 - 4:30pm to 6:00pm, Barrington Town Hall.

- Energy Committee Meeting - Thursday, September 3, 2026 - 7:00pm, Barrington Town Hall.

-Barrington Schools have a break. Friday Sep 4 is off, Monday is Labor Day and Tuesday Sep 8 is primary election day. Teachers will be conducting professional development on Friday & Tuesday.

A not-so-natural light show is scheduled for Sept 9 thru 12 atop Mt Washington from 8pm to midnight. Honor Summit will honor the loss of 9/11 with two high powered beams of light shining skyward from atop the 6,288-foot summit.

Tonight's blood moon is a lunar eclipse when the Earth casts a shadow on the moon. The light getting around our planet will make the moon appear red.

Target time is Friday at 12:12am; you will start seeing the shadow about 2 hours before around 10pm Thursday. We do have a chance for clouds that may spoil the show.

This will be our LAST Fall primary, as the state primary will move to June during the 2028 cycle. The move will give more time for the primary winners to campaign than the previously tight 8 weeks.

If you can't make it to the polls (Tuesday, Sept 8, 8a-7p, Barrington Middle School), there is the absentee process. There are new requirements, tighter schedules and possible problems at the USPS, so best get to work: https://www.barrington.nh.gov/votinginfo
