BLOOM at Deer Park Town Center celebrates and supports sustainability and community engagement, now through April 26. Events include Clothing, Textile & Shoe Collection – Now through Sunday, April 26. The center will also collect shoes for SWALCO’S Reuse-A-Shoe program (visit swalco.com for details.) Shoes that are new, gently used or worn will be accepted, including those with stains or holes. Rollerblades, ice skates, winter boots and shoes that are wet, moldy, falling apart or missing soles will not be accepted. Guests must tie pairs of shoes with laces or secure them with a rubber band or zip tie. Document Shredding Event – Friday, March 20 From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until the truck is full), a shredding truck will be on-site.

Visits & Photos with the Bunny – Saturday, March 28. Enjoy photo opportunities with the Bunny from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring your own camera. Reservations are required online at Deer Park Town Center.

Our Jan/Feb issue celebrates Barrington resident Doug McConnell whose vision to launch the Chicago River Swim splashed worldwide with a net of three billion views in print, social, and digital media.
