The dub side of the Manganista 7” Box Set is here — “Human Being” and “Angeline” reimagined on opaque purple vinyl, mixed by Dub Robot (Brian Wallace). Deep basslines, echoing harmonies, full dub treatment.

The full 3x7” box set takes both tracks through three worlds: rock, ska/reggae (Humanoid Mix), and dub (Humanoid Dub). Plus David Russell Talbott sleeve art, a sticker, an air freshener, popping candy, and five “Bot or Nots” plastic figures so you can play spot-the-robot.

This week we’re digging into the Escape Hatch back catalog and spotlighting a record that still makes us laugh in the best way: Nine Inch Reggae — a reggae tribute to Nine Inch Nails from Rebelation / Wise Owl on a split 12”.

It’s the kind of concept that shouldn’t work… until you hear it and realize how naturally NIN can live inside one-drop + version culture.
