Using the FHI Heat AeroStyle flat iron to show the technique I use for softer curls on shorter hair.

Short hair can go from “soft bend” to “WHY am I Shirley Temple?” real fast 😂 so the way you move the iron matters.

My biggest tips:
✨ work in smaller sections
✨ keep the iron more vertical
✨ rotate about half a turn instead of continuously twisting
✨ glide through instead of holding the hair in one spot
✨ leave the very ends a little straighter for that softer, more modern finish

I grabbed the AeroStyle for this because the rounded shape makes it easy to rotate through shorter sections, and the airflow helps cool the hair as I style.

The PRETTYGARDEN quarter zip pullover is one of those pieces that somehow looks way more polished than the effort required.
