UF IFAS Tropical Research and Education Center is warning growers about the invasive two-spot cotton leafhopper, recently detected in South Florida.
This tiny insect feeds on plant sap and can cause major damage to okra, eggplant, hibiscus, peanuts, cotton, and more, with overseas outbreaks leading to yield losses of over 50%.
