Co-founders of Twistlock, a Silicon Valley startup acquired for $410 million four years after its 2015 launch, announced they have raised a $51 million seed round for their new security company, Gutsy, with headquarters in Baton Rouge.

For the month of October, the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) is offering free self-defense classes for women to support and empower the community through its initiative: The Equalizer Women’s Self-defense Program. This program empowers women to recognize and avoid potentially violent situations.

The October program consists of four classes in total, and all four must be completed.
