Why does the legacy media spotlight Gaza and Ukraine but stay largely silent on Sudan, where women and children are being systematically slaughtered?

The Biden administration has declared the atrocities in Sudan as genocide—targeting civilians with systematic murder, ethnic cleansing, and brutal sexual violence. Tens of thousands have been killed, millions displaced, and families are starving as famine sweeps the country. Yet, this “world’s biggest humanitarian catastrophe” is barely a blip on the media radar.

When covering Gaza, the headlines focus on women and children killed. Why doesn’t Sudan receive the same attention, where women and children are being deliberately targeted and murdered?

Legacy media has a responsibility to report fairly and without bias. The silence on Sudan highlights a troubling gap in balanced reporting. Why are some stories deemed more worthy than others?

Is this okay? AP Reporter Lisa Rathke wrote in a report;

The three men, all age 20, were spending their Thanksgiving break in Burlington, and were out for a walk while visiting one of the victims' relatives when they were confronted by a White man with a handgun, police said.

Is this okay? If it had been a black man, would this reporter wrote, “confronted by a Black man with a handgun”

Would the color of the person been capitalized? Is the Associated Press now going to list the race of all suspects in crimes?
