In honor of Giving Tuesday, we'd like to highlight our 2023 class of honorees.

At our Forty Under 40 Celebration on Nov. 9 at L'Auberge Casino & Hotel, each honoree was allowed to say five free words, with each subsequent word constituting a $25 donation to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. When all was said and done, $4,000 had been raised.

Melara Enterprises is proud to have donated $1,000 itself, bringing the grand total to $5,000.

Thank you again to our Forty Under 40 honorees!

We're celebrating six years with Tiffany Durocher!

Tiffany is part of our executive and management teams, and she plays a huge role in keeping Melara Enterprises running. She's responsible for producing and communicating our financial reports, administering our operating contracts and employee benefits, and managing our inflow and outflow of the vital resource that keeps all businesses going—cash. When looking for answers to business questions, the entire team at Melara Enterprises turns to Tiffany.

When she's not calculating or answering questions, you can find Tiffany traveling and enjoying time with her husband Jonathan, taking care of their poodle Daffney, attending wine classes at Blend downtown or hosting dinner parties at her house.

We're celebrating one year with Catherine Albano!

Prior to joining us, Catherine was an accountant for a multinational company in Houston. She also earned her master's degree in publishing at the University of Stirling in Scotland. Close family ties brought her back to Baton Rouge, and we're sure glad they did!

She has been a great contributor to many aspects of audience development and digital operations. In addition to being great with spreadsheets, she has a creative side that's blossoming. If you're not sold by some of the persuasive emails she develops, just a few minutes of conversation with Catherine at one of our events will sell you on why you should be a Greater Baton Rouge Business Report Insider or why you should subscribe to InRegister Magazine.

Technology is moving quickly, but Catherine has no fear as she learns and utilizes tools for internal and external customer success.

We're excited to announce this morning that Melara Enterprises has acquired Launch Media! We warmly welcome John Jackson and the entire Launch Media team, and can't wait to begin working with them to meet the growing demand we see for high-end video and experiential content.

This will be a strategic expansion for both companies.

"Video is becoming an increasingly critical tool for businesses seeking to connect with their audiences," said Julio Melara, President & CEO of Melara Enterprises. "By integrating Launch Media's exceptional video production capabilities, Melara Enterprises is further equipped to provide clients with state-of-the-art visual narratives that speak to the heart of their message."

John Jackson, Founder of Launch Media, echoed those sentiments. "Melara Enterprises shares our vision for creating compelling video content. Their robust creative and digital infrastructure combined with our expertise in video production and emerging tech will result in better client experiences and expanded production services. This is a merger of not just companies, but of philosophies and aspirations."

Launch Media was named to the 2022 LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses and recently won three Baton Rouge Advertising Federation Addy awards for its work.

The acquisition offers a host of benefits for all our clients, including an expanded service portfolio, increased capacity for large-scale video projects, and access to a larger creative team and expertise. Furthermore, the merger will foster innovation by combining the creative expertise of Melara Enterprises with the technical prowess of Launch Media.

"There's been a seismic shift in the way audiences consume information," Melara said. "Video content is at the forefront of this evolution. Our partnership with Launch Media will leverage our combined strengths to provide clients with even more immersive, impactful video experiences, giving them a significant edge in their industries."

The acquisition of Launch Media represents the latest milestone in our growth trajectory. You already know us for our amazing media brands: Greater Baton Rouge Business Report, 225 Magazine, InRegister Magazine and 10/12 Industry Report. You also know us for our iconic community events: Business Awards & Hall of Fame, Best Places to Work, Influential Women in Business, Best of 225 Awards and more. In recent years, we've also added a training division that produces the Leadership Academy, Sales Academy and custom training solutions to clients, as well as Studio E, an award-winning content, communications and creative studio that provides solutions ranging from web development to digital marketing.

Celebrating three years of excellence with Tim Coles, our Creative Director!

Tim has been instrumental in overseeing a diverse range of responsibilities, including managing high-budget productions, design projects and campaigns for both Melara Enterprises and our esteemed contract clients. His versatility is truly remarkable, serving as a "Swiss Army Knife" with expertise spanning art direction, video production, print publication, and web design.

Beyond his dedication to work, Tim indulges in his passion for culinary adventures, constantly experimenting with new recipes, and cherishing quality time with loved ones. Last December, he sealed the bond with his college sweetheart, Mary, as they embarked on their journey of marriage.

Congratulations, Tim! Your invaluable contributions make you an esteemed member of the Melara team.

Olivia Deffes is celebrating her one-year anniversary at 225 Magazine!

Olivia began as a superstar intern, writing some of the magazine’s most-read profiles and features. Before her LSU graduation day, she penned her first cover story: a profile of Garth Brooks on the eve of his Tiger Stadium show.

The 225 staff was so impressed with her work, they brought her on board last summer for a brand-new position: the magazine’s first-ever digital staff writer. Olivia is now the face behind 225’s original editorial video content for Instagram and TikTok. She is also a flourishing writer whose byline you’ll find all over the print magazine and 225 Daily newsletter. She has quickly become an expert on Baton Rouge food, activities and attractions.

When she’s not digging into an interesting new dish (peep her dispatches on 225’s weekly Try it Tuesday series on Instagram), she’s probably trying the latest pie on rotation at Elsie’s Plate & Pie. She also loves music and even hosted her own show at 91.1 KLSU FM during college.

Happy anniversary, Olivia! We are so proud to have you on our team.

It's not too late to be considered for Baton Rouge Business Report's Best Places to Work designation. But don't delay: The deadline is Friday, May 5.

Best Places to Work is a free awards program that recognizes companies of workplace excellence that are known for their efforts to recruit and retain the best and brightest employees.

Independent firm Workforce Research Group determines the selection and ranking for Business Report’s Best Places to Work. Participants must meet the following criteria:

- Have at least 15 full- or part-time permanent employees working in Baton Rouge

- Have a physical operation in the Baton Rouge region, which comprises the following nine parishes: Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, Tangipahoa, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana

- Are a publicly or privately held organization, or are a for-profit, not-for-profit, or a government organization

- Have been in business for at least one year, at the program registration deadline

Companies that choose to participate are assessed by Workforce Research Group on two factors: A questionnaire about company policies, practices, demographics and benefits, and a survey of randomly selected employees at each firm on nine key focus areas, including role satisfaction, work/life balance, leadership and training.

Business Report will recognize the 2023 Best Places to Work in a special issue in October. A celebration also will be held in their honor.

Best Places to Work in Baton Rouge is presented by Business Report, the Greater Baton Rouge Society for Human Resource Management and Workforce Research Group.

Get all the details at https://bestplacestoworkbatonrouge.com, where you can get a timeline for the Best Places to Work program and register your company for inclusion.

Sadie Fury is celebrating three years!

Sadie hit the ground running when she joined InRegister Magazine three years ago as an advertising consultant. Her expertise with her clients is not selling ads but creating strategic, creative and effective advertising campaigns to achieve her clients' marketing goals.

Sadie has broken not one but many sales records over the years. She is persistent and a great listener, and she's always looking out for her clients and their top needs.

She is a proud LSU graduate who was not only a fan but an LSU Cheerleader during her time on campus. Upon graduating, she moved to Dallas but made her way back to Louisiana years later. She and her husband Nate have a little girl named Wesley, a dog name Finn and are welcoming their second bundle of joy this month!

We are thankful for Sadie and all her hard work, success and creative energy she brings to not only the inRegister team but to Melara Enterprises as a whole.
