If you haven’t heard the news yet, we are excited to announce Launch Media was acquired by Melara Enterprises (the parent company of Baton Rouge Business Report, 225 Magazine, inRegister, and Studio E) over the weekend!

I want to thank each of you, our clients and vendors, for trusting and supporting Launch over the past 18 years. Whether we’re actively working on a project together or if it’s been a while since we worked together, I want to say Thank You. It’s been a great journey and I’m excited about the new things to come! Now that we have access to more resources and talent from Melara Enterprises, Launch will be able to grow and provide more of the things you’ve been asking for and most importantly continue to improve your experience working with us.

How do you best introduce a new technology in the industrial space?
Video offers a great solution.

When AST Bead Filter Solutions expanded their services, they contacted us to produce a one minute video that introduced their new technology RCPG (Recirculating PolyGeyser) units.

Our traveled to Tyler, Texas to film live action shots of the units; but in order to effectively showcase the functionality and efficacy of the RCPGs, we also created graphic animations of the inner workings of the unites, with the help of subject matter experts at AST.

Before Launch Media became a full-service video production company in Downtown Baton Rouge, we were GreenScreenTV.

In 2005, John Jackson and Michael Trufant founded GreenScreenTV through volunteer partnerships with over 50 Baton Rouge area nonprofits. They focused on relationship building and offered a quick-turnaround, “retail” style video product.

However, John quickly realized that to survive the emerging technologies that enabled mass production of the current product GSTV offered, he needed to refocus the business model to marketing and documentary style productions.

In 2009, GSTV became Launch Media, marking the rebrand with a move into the Celtic Media Center.

In October 2014, we moved into our new space in the heart of Downtown Baton Rouge, the Creative Bloc. This co-working campus, the brainchild of John Jackson, caters to creative industry professionals. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to work in an environment of creative peers in graphic design, photography, web development, event production, brand consulting, and even other video production companies.

We also operate a 2500 sq. ft. studio space, fully equipped for video production needs of any type.

Over the past 10 years, Launch Media evolved into a full-service, solutions-based multimedia production company that specializes in creating visual communication solutions.
