Man accused of soliciting 14-year-old girl for s*x, attacking her mother arrested by BRPD
A man in Baton Rouge was arrested for soliciting s*x and engaging in indecent behavior with a teenage girl. Anthony McManus, 55, allegedly offered the 14-year-old victim money and repeatedly asked for s*x over a two-week period in April. The victim tried to block McManus, but he changed his number and continued contacting her. McManus was arrested after a disturbance call in May, where he allegedly assaulted the girl's mother. He faces charges of computer-aided solicitation, simple battery, and indecent behavior.

Power restored after truck crashes, brings down utility poles in Ascension Parish
A truck crash in Prairieville caused a power outage that lasted several hours after the vehicle took down multiple utility poles. The incident occurred on La. 73 at St. Marie Avenue, resulting in the closure of the roadway. The driver, who suffered a medical emergency before the crash, was injured and taken to the hospital.
