🧦💙 Sock It to Me! is back for its 22nd year!

Our Community Outreach Director recently joined Louisiana First News to talk about the Family Resource Group Foundation’s annual Sock It to Me! Sock Drive and how our community can come together to help local children, families, and adults in need.

This year, we’re teaming up with local libraries and other organizations across the Greater Baton Rouge area to collect 52,000 pairs of new socks! 🧦

Last year, our amazing community helped us collect more than 51,000 pairs of socks to support people in need. Now, we’re raising the goal and counting on our community to help us reach 52,000!

📅 October 1–December 11
📍 Drop off new socks, from infant to adult sizes, at participating locations.

All donations will benefit local homeless shelters and organizations supporting families throughout our community.

A simple pair of socks can make a meaningful difference. ❤️

Building Stronger Communities, Together 🤝

Family Resource Group was proud to be part of today’s community partnership announcements at the Inspiration Center at Howell Park, bringing together local leaders and organizations committed to creating stronger, safer, and more connected communities for Baton Rouge families.

The event highlighted exciting new partnerships between Louisiana Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Foundation (LECJF), BREC, NFL FLAG, FMOL Health, the Baton Rouge Police Department, and law enforcement agencies across East Baton Rouge Parish — all focused on expanding opportunities for local youth through recreation, mentorship, education and community engagement.

We’re especially proud to continue that same mission through Family Resource Group Foundation's Literacy & Learning Lab in partnership with the East Baton Rouge Parish Library. This initiative helps connect children and families with educational resources, literacy opportunities and the support they need to thrive.
