Greetings listeners! As we are approaching February, There's a time that we reflect on how our year has started. But here's one thing that we can totally do, not focus on rezolutions, but rather we focus on just making steps that are realistic when it comes to starting a goal. What is one thing that you had as a resolution and it did not work out? What is one goal that you can start going in small steps so that you can feel succesfull throughout the year?

It's the season for giving! Please help the CU Chorale raise money for our tour to the UK in May 2025--England, Scotland and Ireland! Each student is raising about $5000, which sounds HUGE to us, but we know that with God all things are possible (Mt 19:26).

Christianity is not focused on debating people but rather debating ideas.
As a society that loves debating, we can totally get swayed and just get quite right mad at each other as well! We all have opinions that were shaped and still shaped by our experiences in our lifetime. The Election day is fast aproaching, and we as the people, must vote! It's actually a gift not an obligation. Thanks to so many soldiers that have died for us, we have the liberty to praise God, vote and really be ourselves as we are ambassadors of Christ. The question is, as Christians, are you going to debate the person or the idea of the person. Are you willing to sit down with someone and have a discussion rather than shouting at each other? That's what the Wisdom Conversation at my college really talked about this evening, is really just listening to each other. The biggest thing that I'm learning is listening instead of just talking. Even being silent helps out! Anyways, for those who are not Christians that are reading this post, I love that you have something to share and I'm willing to see your side of things even if I have a view that is different than me. That means, that we are all human, and yes, we are not perfect, but it's great to just sit down and clash swords so to speak from time to time in a reasonable fashion.
Tell your story:
1. For those who are believers, what can you as a Christian, show someone that is even another Christian or non-believer, that you still love them this week and throughout your lifetime, even if they are different and have opinions that are clashing with yours?
2. For those who are believers, pray that God gives you discernment as we vote this election and wisdom so you can really share the gospel by just being yourself and being an ambassador of Christ by just listening to one another.
3. What was one situation where you wished you could do better when it came to debates or just even had a situation where you lost sight of what the discussion was all about rather if it was with a friend or family?

Identity Crisis?
That's the question I ask myself. Is this really a identity crisis or is it just the world influenceing Gen Z. Yep! I'm in it too! I am a gen Z. Seriously? Why is our generation stuck in this loop? Well, I have no idea! But I do know who does. He knows everything. He's the Alfa and Omega. Beginning and the end. God the Father. God the Son. God the Holy Spirit. That's his identity. So, what's my identity. What's your identity? Well, identity can be labels of who we are. Like a firefighter. That's a title. Or you are a pastor. But truly beyond titles, who are you? Well... That's your choice to accept God. You get adopted. A child of God. That's my identity. That could be yours. I'm a male. You are either a female or a male. Therefore you are a brother or sister. Son or daughter. That's your choice of accepting God. First, though, ask yourself. Who are you right now? If you go intscripture, what do you find that may challenge yourself? Think about that as you go through your week. May you stand on the truth and may you find your identity in Christ that can never be changed.
Tell your story:
1. Write a few questions about yourself then what does scripture say about humanity and who they are when you accept Christ.
2. Pray about being reminded of who you are when you are in Christ. If not, ponder if you would like to be adopted into Christ. If so, talk to a friend, family or a pastor if you attend church or if they are saved and have been changed by the blood of Christ.
3. Tell your friend of how your identity has been changed into one that will never be changed. Where you will have the opportunity to tell your testimony after the fact and really feel included in the family of Christ by being loved by your brothers and sisters.

Begging for More

I was listening to a song called Begging by Montaskin. I was just listening to the lyrics and I realize something, how much do you care about your friends, family, your loved ones? Well, one thing for sure is that God has totally cared. Countless times, he mentions throughout scripture from the prophets, through King David in Psalms, to even in the new testament. What is something that we miss and that we beg for something more. However, We shouldn't beg. We should be content in the lord. This song really speaks of begging for his love to come back. It might have been a hard relationship. The biggest thing was that God was not in their lives. If that happened, she would have had a better chance with that guy. Anyways, one thing that reminds me is this: Care about your loved ones. Share them the gospel. And pray continually 1 Thesalonians 5:17. Really be there for them. Remind them of how God has been blessing not just your life but theirs. Even have them share their own stories about how God has found them and how they have been saved. Let's not beg, let's be content. Let's not yearn for something more that's worldly, because God fills that space. No matter what life brings us, let's pray continually, be content, and remind ourselves and our brothers and sisters of what great works God has done through our families, friends, and even our church!

1. Think about your friends and family. Who really needs the gospel today?
2. For those who know Christ, are they down? Do they need a reminder of what God did for them? Share the story and encourage to build them up.
3. Is there something that you yearn more that is outside of God. Money? Fame? Power? Give that to the lord, and let him humble you and be reminded of what God has already done that can satisfy your thirst.

Today is the day! This is the last concert for the year here at CU. Chorale has been an amazing time my first year! I have learned a lot through the devotionals that Dr. Walters, the music, and just the fellowship with one another from the retreats and tour. God has totally worked within all of us. If you are interested, join us for the final concert of the year with Womens Ensemble and even alumni. It is 4:00 PM at Matthews Performance Center at the seminary. Good morning everyone. I will do just a quick post. So, yesterday was Resurrection Sunday AKA Easter! As we say, he is risen. Jesus rose from the grave, and now we have a relationship with him again. All through this year, think about how the resurrection has brought hope to you. Respond to the he is risen if you agree with what was stated in the beginning. The statement is again, He is risen! Have a blessed day everyone! May you continue to grow and find God. If you have not accepted Jesus into your heart, I invite you today to just simply do a prayer to God. Nothing fancy. Just admit that you are a sinner, you recognize and believe Christ of what he did for you and that he is your lord and savior, and just receiving and accepting the gibt. That's it. If you do this today, tell others like your friends and family and maybe, they will also accept Jesus if they have not. God bless you all!
