COME CHEER FOR THESE STATE CHAMPIONS THIS AFTERNOON!!!

The Appling County Recreation 8u Girls All-Star Softball Team won the GRPA Class C State Championship today. The girls will be loading up on a Baxley fire truck, for a victory lap through town, around 6:30 this afternoon. They will travel from City Circle Road to WalMart, along Parker Street, and then back.

Come line the streets and show your support for your STATE CHAMPIONS!!!!

Appling County School Nutrition will be offering a drive-thru meal distribution for children ages 0-18 at Appling County Middle School on Tuesday June 24th from 10:30 am - 11:30 am. Students do not have to be present for meals to be given out. Have your student's name written down and ready to give to the attendant prior to arriving. Meals will be provided on a first come first served basis.

Graduation Information:

1. The gates will open at 6:00 PM. Both sides of the stadium will be open for seating. The students will walk across the stage from the visitor side towards the home side.
2. All patrons will enter through the home and away gates. The gate by the fieldhouse will be closed for entrance by patrons.
3. Handicap parking will be available behind the locker rooms - those that need handicap parking should enter through the back of the school.
4. We will have a cooling station in the football locker rooms for anyone that gets overheated and needs medical attention.
5. We will have handicap seating available on both sides of the stadium.
6. No items are allowed in the stadium that impede the view of others (balloons, posters, fatheads, etc)
7. At the conclusion of the ceremony all family and friends will be permitted on the field, but will enter the field on the highway side. The fieldhouse side will be closed down after the ceremony.
8. Seniors need to pick up their diplomas in the field house after the ceremony. If you don’t make it after the ceremony, please stop by Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week between 8-3 to pick it up from the office.
9. No ‘pointy’ heels (stiletto type) will be allowed on the field - this will mess up the turf.
