Big changes are reportedly coming to the Disney Springs resort buses soon! 🚌✨
According to a new report from WDWMagic, Walt Disney World is preparing to bring back the bus verification system at Disney Springs, and this time it is expected to be a permanent policy.
If you visited during the busy Christmas or Easter seasons, you might remember the trial runs where guests had to scan their MagicBand or Key to the World Card before boarding. To get on a bus heading to a resort hotel, you needed to prove you had a Walt Disney World hotel, dining, or activity reservation. Word is this system will return for good just before the Fourth of July.
This change is designed to help keep bus traffic flowing smoothly and prevent people from using free Disney Springs parking to avoid theme park parking fees. Rumor also suggests this verification process could expand to other areas around Walt Disney World in the future.
Keep in mind that Disney has not made an official announcement just yet, so dates and details are still subject to change.
