Let's eat Midnight Snack, comprising sliced fresh fruits. I am exhausted from sorting clothing for shipment to the Philippines. My daughter suggested donating the clothes to Salvation Army instead, and inquired about the cost per balikbayan box. I replied that it costs $110 to send a box to Cebu and other distant locations. She asked how many boxes I intended to send, and I estimated around 10. She expressed surprise at the total cost, exceeding $1,000, and questioned the expense. I explained that I wanted to ensure the clothing was utilized, despite the cost. I further clarified that her perspective differed from mine due to her privileged upbringing, whereas I experienced hardship during my childhood. As a result, we made significant sacrifices to provide for her needs from conception onwards.
