JACKSON VS JACKSON the Ultimate showdown!

Lakewood vs. Jackson: What Do We Value?

There is a question underneath nearly every development fight happening in our part of New Jersey.

What do we actually value?

Do we measure progress by how many units we can build, how much density we can create, or how tall we can make the next building?

Or do we value something else?

Nature. Open space. Quiet neighborhoods. Roads that aren’t overwhelmed. Clean water. A reasonable tax burden. A little breathing room.

A town that still feels like a town.

I know what I value.

I value the family that worked for years to buy a home in Jackson because they wanted a backyard and a good place to raise their children.

The senior citizen trying to afford their property taxes.

The working person who shouldn’t have to sit in another twenty minutes of traffic because development outpaced infrastructure.

And I value the woods, wetlands, aquifers, farms and open spaces that make this part of New Jersey beautiful.

Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Recently, Assemblyman Avi Schnall decided to insert himself into Jackson politics.

Schnall was deeply involved in the lawsuit against Jackson that had enormous consequences for our town. Now he’s decided to involve himself in our local political fights too.

If Avi Schnall wants to make Jackson his political business, then his record and his vision become our business too.

And that vision deserves attention.

Schnall has publicly boasted about the prospect of eight story buildings in Lakewood.

He doesn’t represent Jackson. But what happens next door ultimately affects us.

Traffic doesn’t stop at the Lakewood line. Infrastructure pressures don’t stop there. Environmental impacts don’t stop there.

Lakewood has every right to decide its future.

And Jackson has every right to protect ours.

While Avi Schnall may see eight story buildings as progress, I see a warning.

I don’t want that vision for Jackson.

I don’t want Jackson to become a city.

I don’t believe every piece of land needs to be monetized.

Sometimes undeveloped land has value simply because it is just as God intended it to be. That’s why it’s called nature.

Development can make people a tremendous amount of money. But the people collecting the profits aren’t necessarily the people living with the consequences.

The residents live with the consequences and still pay the tax bill.

There will be development in Jackson. Nobody serious is arguing otherwise.

The question is whether development controls us or whether we control development.

Does it fit our infrastructure?

Does it protect our environment and neighborhoods?

Does it preserve the character of our town?

Most importantly, does it make life better for the people who already call Jackson home?

So Avi Schnall can boast about eight story buildings in Lakewood.

I’m going to fight like hell to make sure that vision doesn’t become Jackson’s future.

I choose trees over unnecessary concrete.

I choose open space over endless density.

I choose neighborhoods over urbanization.

I choose taxpayers over special interests.

I choose quality of life over somebody else’s profit margin.

Jackson doesn’t need to become a city.

It needs people willing to fight to keep it a great town.

Anyone know where we can rent a 50-60 ft yacht along with someone to captain the boat (licensed) out of or close to Toms River...

Our team is looking to hold a sunset celebration for 3-4 hours offshore. Not looking to fish. 😁

ā˜”ļøSpring rain can quickly turn a yard or driveway into a muddy, unusable mess. If you are dealing with standing water, soft spots, washouts, puddles, or a driveway that stays wet and rutted, those are signs your property may need proper drainage and grading.

At Sure Shot Site Solutions, we help homeowners solve drainage problems while improving the appearance and function of their property. We install new stone yards, stone driveways, and drainage solutions designed to help move water away from the areas where it causes the most trouble. Whether the problem calls for regrading, better runoff control, or a fresh stone surface that holds up better in wet conditions, we focus on doing the job the right way.šŸ€

A properly installed stone yard or driveway can help reduce mud, improve drainage, create a cleaner look, and make your property easier to use year-round. Instead of dealing with the same wet, messy problem every time it rains, let’s put in a solution that lasts.

We proudly serve homeowners in Ocean County and surrounding areas, including Toms River, Barnegat, Lacy and nearby communities.

If your yard or driveway is holding water, now is the time to fix it.
