Happy Sunday! 🌞We had the honor of being featured in the Medellín newspaper earlier this month. 😍 I've translated a bit of interview with Alejandra González Bonilla, swipe to see the rest. ✌️😎✌️
Words such as ethics and sustainability resonate at every moment about an industry that seems to go against it, and although it is not an isolated issue, there are those who bet on turning the tide, such as Amber Moelter and the Colombian Luis Barreto with Noir Tribe.
The audiovisual production agency that emerged on a Valentine's Day night has been directed to give a different look to the sector, under the union of two poles: fashion and ethics. As seen in Ethetics, a documentary series created in conjunction with the Ethical Fashion Initiative and with which it is sought to reach Colombia.
What distinguishes the product that Noir Tribe makes?
"We focus on working under the ethical fashion concept, Amber from the direction and I from the audiovisual side. To reach that point, we did other things like working with brands that did not have that look. We wanted to do so, because as audiovisual filmmakers we have a responsibility and that is to talk about that kind of thing. So it was at that moment that we thought: we found our niche and it found us. "
What is it like to work in the fashion industry with an ethical focus?
"Is it difficult. Some brands do not have the financial muscle and can not invest large sums of money in communication, as others do. This is how we saw an opportunity in which we could help give more visibility to the work that other brands or designers were doing, because we understand that in the fashion business we must all grow together."
