Just 17 days until "America 25): Culture and Community" at the John Jay French Museum!

Join the Beaumont Heritage Society as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a vibrant multicultural fair highlighting the people, traditions, and stories that make Beaumont unique.

Held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the John Jay French Museum (3025 French Road, Beaumont, TX 77706), this free, family-friendly event invites the community to explore the many cultures that shape our city. Guests can enjoy local food trucks with diverse options for purchase, browse a vendor fair, view a special exhibit in the first floor of the museum, and connect with cultural organizations from Southeast Texas and the surrounding areas, who will be on-site sharing their missions, histories, and contributions to Beaumont.

Cultural organizations and vendors interested in participating can sign up for the event by visiting www.beaumontheritage.org.

Guests are welcome to bring picnics to enjoy on the grounds. Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets; no glass containers, to***co and alcohol, or pets (does not include service animals).

Create your own big bug at the June Open Studio! 🎨 This all-ages, drop-in program invites you to explore a different art medium each month.

On June 13, view our acrylic bugs up close and use liquid watercolor to paint a BIG BUG of your own. Explore shape, color and texture while turning an observation into a work of art. Visit "The Color Orange" and keep an eye out for landscapes, animals and even a few insects to inspire your work of art.

In celebration of Juneteenth, the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum invites you to a special film screening and historical conversation at POST Houston featuring award-winning documentarian Gordon S. Williams.

Through powerful short documentaries, Williams highlights the joy, resilience, struggles, and preservation efforts within Black communities across Texas. The screening will center on the importance of protecting local histories and uplifting the voices and legacies that continue to shape our understanding of freedom, community, and cultural memory.
