New Bayoulands podcast episode!

We’re working on the next Bayoulands radio show, so for this episode, we’re reaching back into the archives for a story from 2020. Jason Miller visits with members of the Caroline Gilbert Hinchee House Project which is tasked with the restoration of the 1904 home, a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Following their discussion, Jason toured the Hinchee House located at 1814 Park St. in Beaumont to learn more about its ongoing restoration.

Jefferson County has officially designated the 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲, recognizing our region’s historic and continuing impact on the global energy industry.

This milestone comes as Lamar University launches the 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐃𝐁𝐀) 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 — the first AACSB-accredited DBA program of its kind focused specifically on energy management.

As the annual host of SETX Energy Day, 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 will bring together energy professionals, industry leaders, and academic experts to celebrate Southeast Texas’ energy legacy and explore the future of the industry.

Rooted in the legacy of Spindletop and designed for the challenges ahead, the DBA in Energy Management connects experienced professionals with doctoral-level research, advanced business strategy, and applied solutions addressing the evolving needs of the global energy sector.
