I was honored to be in this commercial with our Southeast Texas Alzheimer’s Association regional manager Shanna Briggs. We are promoting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, October 3 at the Beaumont Event Center. Important message from Beaumont ISD:

Beaumont ISD will provide meals to students and families today while district schools remain closed.
Student Meal Distribution
Date: Today, September 2, 2026
Time: 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Location: Caldwood Elementary
Format: Drive-thru meal distribution
BISD staff volunteers will be on site to assemble and distribute meals to families. Families will remain in their vehicles and will be asked to provide the student’s name and lunch number as they move through the car line.
The district remains committed to supporting our students and families during the school closure and ensuring students have access to meals.

Rain not letting up for parts of Southeast Texas

Good morning, SE Texas. We are still keeping tabs on some moderate to heavy rain across parts of Hardin and Tyler counties this morning. Some area across Hardin county have picked up as much as 9" of rain since yesterday afternoon and it hasn't really let up in the last few hours. We will continue to monitor the situation.
