Last weekend, we ventured over to Beaumont, TX and visited - a unique wildlife rescue and sanctuary for alligators and other reptiles/animals. They provide a home for over 700 alligators that have been rescued, surrendered or displaced and can live safely and be cared for on the property! They also travel around to schools and provide educational programs about their rescue program and the animals themselves! We got to feed some of the alligators, birds, farm animals, and even rabbits! You can also ask to hold some of their snakes and reptiles!! If you know someone that loves animals, this is such a great and unique interactive, and educational experience! If you’re ever out that way, definitely check them out! (And maybe even stop at the Baytown Buccees on your way! 😉)
