A few months back I was called on an illegal dumping case at the Evergreen cemetery in Skidmore by one of the caretakers. He asked if I had any Illegal dumping signs that I could put up to see if maybe this would deter people from illegally dumping not only debris from the cemetery but household debris as well. Today I did my rounds of the cemetery and notice it’s also a local drinking spot for people that don’t have any respect for the family of the deceased or the caretakers of the cemetery. This afternoon with the help of Commissioner Linney, we placed three Illegal dumping signs at the main entrances of the cemetery. I hope this will be a warning that this will not be tolerated and if caught a fine will be assessed. Please if you see any type of illegal dumping report it. Together we can make a difference.

I want to thank Mr. Moreno for calling and explaining what happened. This incident was a bag that flew out of the back of a truck. It was clearly a mistake. I want citizens to know that I take illegal dumping very seriously. I thank the individual that called it in and once again I greatly appreciate the quick response from Mr. Moreno. Thank you Sir.

*** Illegal dumping CR 101 Normanna ***

I was notified yesterday evening by Deputy J. Garcia #216 of illegal dumping in Normanna on CR 101. I advised Deputy Garcia that I would look into it first thing this morning. I Officer R. Guerrero made the location this morning and did observe a big pile of contractor debris. I did find identifying information and will be attempting to make contact with the individual. I have notified Road & Bridge of the violation. Once again if you need to dispose of debris please dispose of it properly. I don’t think you can afford the fine. Be smart, disposing of debris properly will cost you way less. If you see illegal dumping please report it. Together we can make a difference.

Good morning to all. This is a follow up in the property located at 2239 N. Madison. It’s been an eye sore for many many years. It has gone through two different owners in the past years of me conducting this investigation. The new owner came to me and asked what steps he needed to take to get the property cleaned. I advised him of all the rules and regulations on how to clean and where to dispose of materials and advised him if he was going to burn he needed to contact the Sheriff’s Office first then I advised if what he could and could not burn. I want to thank the owner for following all instructions and for a job well done in getting the property cleaned. 👍🏼

Bee County Environmental Officer R. Guerrero #256 & Bee County Sheriff’s Office Deputy J. Garcia #216 surprised these kids at the South Texas Children’s Home with some pizzas & drinks this afternoon. Seeing the smiles on these faces was priceless. I hope we made their day. Thanks partner for helping out.

Corpus Christi Police Department Officer Kyle Hicks was shot in the line of duty while responding to a call for service reference a domestic disturbance. Officer Hicks sustained life threatening injuries and continues to fight for his life. Officer Hicks is married and a father of four beautiful children, he has served his community proudly with the Corpus Christi Police Department for the past two years.

Please keep Officer Hicks and his family in your prayers and respect their privacy as they navigate this difficult time in their lives.
