BREAKING: Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby is entering the Supplemental NFL Draft 🚨

The Browns are among the teams that have expressed interest in Sorsby, and there’s a strong chance that he’ll be drafted.

Sorsby, 22, was granted an injunction requested by Texas Tech and was set to be eligible for the 2026 college season, but with Big 12 schools revolting against Texas Tech and filing lawsuits he has decided to go pro.

Sorsby completed treatment for a gambling addiction after making thousands of online bets on a variety of sports via a gambling app, which jeopardized his eligibility with Texas Tech.

Sorsby (6-3, 235lbs) threw for 2,800 yards, 27 TD, and 5 INT with a 61.6 completion percentage and 9 rushing TD for Cincinnati last season.

Some extra Texas sports...
First, the NCAA said Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby was permanently ineligible to continue playing college football after he admitted to placing "thousands of bets" over four years, including several on his own team, according to CBS Sports.
This past Monday, CBS Sports reports that retired Lubbock judge Ken Curry granted Sorsby a temporary injunction against the NCAA that will allow him to play in 2026. He’ll sit out the Red Raiders’ first two games but will be eligible to face Houston on September 18 in the Red and Black’s Big 12 opener.
And now, things are getting messy.
CBS reports that Georgia and Nebraska have decided not to schedule Texas Tech in any future athletic games, due to the Sorsby’s eligibility ruling.
Sorsby’s gambling case is still in process in the legal system.
