Renowned politician and former Uasin Gishu County gubernatorial aspirant Zedekiah Bundotich Kiprop alias Buzeki, has now broken his silence after President William Ruto's government announced that Monday will be a public holiday.
In a statement on his X page through his social media platform, the firebrand politician condemned the move saying that it was ill advised considering that Ruto's government had lifted the ban that had been imposed on logging.
According to Buzeki, it doesn't make sense that the government is creating a holiday for planting trees and yet they themselves are creating space for deforestation through the lifting on the ban that had been imposed on logging.
"UDA approved the cutting of TREES recently and now they going ahead to gazette a HOLIDAY for tree PLANTING . Lack of adequate SLEEP can compromise the quality of decision making . This holiday ni K**a kusafisha kuku MGUU, itakanyanga Mchanga immediately. Mungu ni mwema. Mbele iko Sawa." Posed Buzeki.
