Wednesday on “Novotney Now” – 3-6 p.m. on River Talk, 100.1 FM/100.9 and AM 1290 WLYV/1430 WEIR.

3 p.m. – Kelly Magarity, Joint Information Center Manager, FEMA Federal Coordinating Officer Mark O’Hanlon, and SBA Public Affairs Specialist Monica Myles will join me in the Trinity Health System Studio to discuss a number of topics pertaining to how Ohio County flood victims can receive the assistance they need following the fatal flash flooding on June 14th.

4 p.m. – Mike Florak is a member of the B.A.S.E Speaking Team who visit local businesses, education groups, and schools to speak on topics important to professional development, and he’ll join me to explain his thoughts on improving how what we do what we do now.

5 p.m. – W.Va. Del. Jeff Stephens is an educator in Marshall County who’s now preparing head back to the classroom, and he’s a member of the state Legislature that passed the Hope Scholarship program, and he and I will discuss both topics – and several others – during the final hour of the show.

3 p.m. – Ohio County Schools Superintendent Dr. Kim Miller and Communications Director Karin Butyn is ready to start another school year, and they will join me in the Trinity Health System Studio to discuss several topics as the beginning of the school year approaches.

4 p.m. – Growing up and growing old – that’s the topic for this week’s “Rachel & Steve Show”.

5 p.m. – Are you aware that we can’t make cellphones in the U.S.? Did you know the country’s national security depends on technology that’s exported from other countries? Our dependency on other countries is one of several topics I’ll discuss with co-host Dolph Santorine.

A little bit of everything this afternoon.

Monday on “Novotney Now” – 3-6 p.m. on River Talk, 100.1 FM/100.9 and AM 1290 WLYV/1430 WEIR.

3 p.m. – I’ll review a number of different news stories and also introduce a few topics at the beginning of the program.

3:30 p.m. – Chris Dutton from the Dutton Cattle Co. opened the Meat Shop in Morristown last week, and he’ll give us a call this afternoon to let us know the hours of operation, what will be available on a daily basis, and what special orders we can make when visiting.

4 p.m. – Greg Thomas is our political analyst and he’ll join us for our weekly conversation about local, state, and national politics.

5 p.m. – Wheeling Heritage BluesFest Founder Bruce Wheeler will pay me a visit in the Trinity Health System Studio to further our conversation about the annual event that’s coming up on Aug. 8-9-10 at Heritage Point.

Thursday on “Novotney Now” – 3-6 p.m. on River Talk, 100.1 FM/100.9 and AM 1290 WLYV/1430 WEIR.

3 p.m. – Brooke County Schools Superintendent Dr. Jeff Crook will join me in the Trinity Health System Studio, and Brooke High Principal Eric James will be there, as well.

3:50 p.m. – Kelly Maragrity from FEMA will give us a call to let us know the federal agency’s locations in Ohio County, and how local flood victims should prepare to seek assistance.

4 p.m. – Dr. Norman Wood has continued pushing for state officials in West Virginia to re-adopt an institutional approach for homeless individuals so issues with drug addiction and mental illness can be addressed appropriately, and he’ll join me to discuss the well-established theories and how an Executive Order by President Trump would facilitate it.

4:50 p.m. – The back-to-school kids will have a chance to get a backpack in August, and Richard Bazzy will give me a call to explain how it will all work on August 9th at Shults Ford at The Highlands.

5 p.m. – Baseball’s trade deadline and NFL training camps are two of several topics we’ll discuss during today’s Flooring Center Sports Hour.
