Live music in the greenhouse, roasting green chiles in the air. Jolly Lane Greenhouse Chile Pepper Festival is September 11–13, and we suggest leaving yourself a whole afternoon.

Eight live sets fill the weekend, including James Van Nuys, The Nervous Turtles, Acoustic Collision, Chris Mangione’s Bottle of Blues Band and more. Grab food from the trucks, wander the gardens and find a seat where you can hear the band. That smell alone is worth the trip.

Come for the music. Stay for the smells.

Black Hills musicians are making original music. Let’s give it a listen.

This Saturday, September 12, Rekall Studios Sturgis brings the Black Hills Original Music Listening Party to Iron Horse Saloon. Hear recordings from Johnny Hastings, Chris Huisenga, The Doombots and more, with introductions to the artists and where to find their music.

The evening also supports children served by Children’s Home Society of South Dakota. Bring musical instruments, clothing, shoes, toys or a financial donation to contribute.

Music starts at 7 p.m. All ages welcome. The suggested donation is $10, but nobody will be turned away over it. Sponsored by Culver Mechanics in Sturgis.

Special announcement this morning! As most of you all know I started acting last year and so far I've been in three movies and recently filmed something for the Discovery Channel. A lot of you have been asking me when any of the projects are coming out and I am pleased to tell you that the first movie is finally here! Longshot Danny comes out this weekend but sadly I have two festivals so I will be missing the official red carpet premier of the film with the cast and crew. But with permission of the directors I will be holding my own unofficial premier one week from today on Wednesday September 16th at The Majestic Theater in Yakima, WA. Everybody is welcome to come join me for the 6:50 PM showing as I experience my debut on the big screen. Keep in mind I also have not seen the movie nor have I read the entirety of the script so I will be truly watching it for the first time with you guys. I'll also keep everybody updated on when the movie is released on Prime Video and Tubi. Thank you all for supporting my journey and I'll see you guys in the snack line 🍿
